The location is truly ideal; you can reach the beach in five minutes, or in the other direction, the town center and supermarkets. We've stayed in different apartments, and all of them were exceptionally clean and modernly furnished. For some reason, the kitchen always looked as if we were the first guests, as everything was practically brand new and showed no signs of wear and tear. The rooms also have a unique look with a kind of 70s Olympic theme, and you'll find lots of little details like posters or a winner's podium in the living room. It seems a bit odd at first, but it's very tastefully and lovingly done without overpowering the decor. The bathroom is also very modern, and overall, I find the rooms well-designed and spacious. The street is (as mentioned several times here) actually a bit noisier than you'd expect from such a quiet side street. Somehow, the street noise from outside is amplified quite a bit. In Apartment 3, you can feel it a bit more than in Apartment 2, but it didn't bother us since we're city dwellers anyway. However, it might be a little annoying if you're very sensitive to noise. On the other hand, the rooms are completely soundproof, and you don't hear anything from the other apartments. The entire process, from arrival to key collection, always went smoothly. We'll definitely be back.

  Due to a problem with our original accommodation, we had to be rebooked (many thanks to Strand11 for their help) and were put up in the OSTKÜSTE apartments and it was wonderful. The apartment was large, bright, modern and furnished to a high standard. Our contact person on site was very caring and it was clear that he wanted to provide us with every comfort possible. This old villa is perfectly located and only a two-minute relaxed walk from the center of Ahlbeck and the beach. We were completely satisfied and were sad that we couldn't stay longer.
